After a strained and hectic morning class schedule, what better refreshment can there be than seeing the same classrooms now filled with curious cats and jolly spirits. Seeing innocent smiles on their face pushes all the tensions and confusions to the back of our minds leaving it light and joyous. The eagerness to learn and explore something new, never goes out. This, along with a bit of fun and frolic is sufficient for their day and enough for our satisfaction.

Jagrati which once started with providing primary education and facilities to the children is now much more than that. We now look upon the society as a whole rather than focussing on a particular objective. What better way to promote and ignite a light of awareness towards education among kids than to hand them the pivot of education. The books distributed among them kindle in them, the importance of reading and make them realize the wonders a book is capable of bringing into their lives.

No bigger virtue than to cover a needy!!! Jagrati understands the necessity of some of the basic needs of everyone and how the under privileged people struggle for it. The cloth donation camps looks after fulfilling the needs of those people.

Save a life!!! Saving a life can be one of the best self-satisfactions one could ever possess in his or her entire life. Our blood donation camps look forward on doing the same. It received an overwhelming support from the institute and is one of the biggest successes of Jagrati till date. The participation of the faculties added to its success. As they say, "karke dekho, achcha lagta hai", it indeed proved true. Medical camps for the underprivileged who cannot afford to get basic check-ups done were provided with basic fitness tests here in our institute. A step towards a healthy living society is never a failure.

To live life is to give one!! The tiny little roots planted during this plantation drive will continue to support life for millions of people for many years to come. Seeing them grow big and old will be the eternal bliss one could ever wish for.

So here the fun part starts. Jagrati has now become an integral part of almost every cultural event organised by our institute. This is much more a fun to the children than to us. Little feet jumping in a synchronised and well-coordinated manner on the big stage in front of a big audience or a group of them singing their hearts out has always been a visual delight to the entire institute. The appreciation received has always proved motivating for them.

It doesn’t matter how hard we put our efforts into this unless and until we are joined and supported by the society as well. The awareness rallies conducted by Jagrati have looked forward to ignite the same spirit of working in togetherness towards a better future of the country.

Every festival has always been a delight with Jagrati. The colours of Holi seemed to be more colourful while celebrating it with the kids. Diyas of Diwali became more bright when lit by those little hands and the crackers were better enjoyed when bursted by them. Be it Raksha Bandhan, where the little girls tie rakhi or the Navratri where they worship Maa Durga, every festival carries millions of memories with it.

Jagrati has also extended its helping hands to the old souls who have been looked down upon by the society and have now hidden themselves into a room away from the light of the outside world. Holding their hands and giving them a support gave them a genuine pleasure which is beyond explanation. Talking to them and sharing words of hope granted us with their unfathomable experience and knowledge of life. The day was an experience of a lifetime.
